Our Principles |
The Basics |
This page is about how we treat our customers, what information we gather from you
and what we do with it. It is about our responsibilities as a company to serve our customers,
our employees and others.

|
General Principles of Business |
We're here to serve you. We strive to treat you as we would like to be treated.
In the process of filling out forms and ordering products on our website
we will necessarily collect information that enables us to serve you.
Where does this information
end up? First of all, it is confidential information and we will never, ever reveal any of it to
a third party--public, private, individual or organization. Period.

|
What information is stored |
First, your credit card information is
NOT stored on our website or electronically in any other way unless you email it to us
(so don't). During the order process, some of
your personal information is stored. Specifically, name, address, state, city, phone, FAX, email address are
stored in the secure database for our use only. The name or your organization and your job title is stored.
Your telephone number is stored.
When you submit a Support Request on our site, we receive
your information by email. It is not stored in any database. Serial numbers for products that you have
purchased are stored in a database at Greenleaf Software, not on the web server.
When you purchase online, your credit card and related information is dealt with
not by Greenleaf Software but rather by Microsoft bCentral's secure e-commerce server. Hence
Greenleaf Software has no record of your credit information.
|
|
How your information is stored |
The information from forms goes
from your keyboard into our secure website, into a secure database. The website is hosted on a dedicated
Server 2003 machine in a highly secure environment. We employ high quality virus scanner and
firewall software to avoid intrusions--which might compromise your privacy ONLY IF the intruder
managed to also hack into our encrypted database.
As a matter of legalese, our attorney mandates
that we are not liable for intrusions that are beyond our reasonable diligence.

|
Email Advertising |
We don't like it much either, and everyone gets gobs of it. Ours is an "opt-out"
system where we mail product announcements and the like to our customers, meaning you, on occasion. We don't do this routinely, it
takes a fairly significant change in something to trigger an "email blast," meaning we send to everyone in our database
gets a copy. We know you move and change email addresses a lot; we try to keep our database updaged. If you've received
an email from us and don't want another, just click the Opt Out button and we'll leave you alone.

About Cookies |
From time to time we upgrade or modify our website. Presently we send you a cookie, but
our e-Commerce is outsourced to a division of Microsoft Corporation, and it is not possible for
an online order to be placed without it sending you a cookie. The purpose of the cookie is to
save the "state" of your order in case you are disconnected for any reason--you can reconnect
and the information you've entered will be present. Your credit card information is NOT
stored in the cookie. If you feel you're being mistreated at any time, please contact me, Don Killen,
personally at Don6425@sbcglobal.net or call Andy Johnson at 214-349-3005 or Sales@GreenleafSoft.com.

Statistics and Logs |
Our web server collects statistics and various information that helps us manage things like how people find us,
products in which you've indicated an interest, and most important, how to find you when your product(s) are
upgraded. Your personal information is NOT present in any statistic or log file. Period.
