Serial Hardware |
Normal 16550 or higher. 16650 works but characters may not be received in proper sequence. We recommend not using 16650.
Recommendation: Buy a bundle, not just the software. This gets you 921.6 Kbps performance, PCMCIA or PCI, one or two ports, RS-232 or RS-422/485
with highly reliable drivers developed in conjunction with the board maker (Quatech). The Quatech boards use 16750 UARTs which have 64 byte depth in the FIFOs.
