ViewComm II runs in either Monitor or Source Mode. Source mode lets you open the Transmit dialog and send keystrokes or a file to equipment under test.
Views include Event, Frame, Statistics, Signals (or Breakout Box), and Protocol Navigator.
You can customize views in many ways to suit your purpose. You can also use the included Greenleaf ProtocolWorks to create new protocol decodes, build prototype capture files, and create new views into your data.
Also included is the Spy option.With this you can see both sides of a full duplex communication on a serial port while a communications application is using the port.
Extensive Filter and Find capabilities have to be seen to be appreciated; they greatly reduce time to analyze protocols. Timestamp resolution is adjustable down to 100 nanoseconds. Capture to buffer / unlimited disk file.
Greenleaf ViewComm II comes with a set of cables for RS-232 work; you can also work with RS-422 or RS-485 four or two wire configurations.
Additional features include frame and event Export capability to a wide variety of file types including .CSV.
