Digi EdgePort/416 4-port USB hub with 16 RS-232 Serial ports, DB-9 and performance to 230 Kbps simultaneously The rack-mounted EdgePort/416 has four powered upstream facing USB 2.0 ports on front (downsteaam connector is on rear), and 16 RS-232 serial ports, each with a DB-9M connector and capable of 230 Kbps each, simultaneously. This constitutes a 4-port powered USB hub, activity LEDs for each port, and internal logic to convert from the downstream-facing USB to sixteen RS-232 serial ports. USB 1.0 and 1.1 compatible; backwards compatibility for 2.0; the device is USB-IF certified, Plug and Play, with automatic port reacquisition in case of a USB disconnect. COM port assignments are maintained across reboots, and the subsystem has full hardware and software flow control. Tri-state LEDs display device status and COM port activity. There are no additional IRQ or memory address requirements. The EdgePort/416 has low power consumptionm is rack mountable, hot-swappable, and a 1-meter USB cable included.
